Saint Dominic School is a Middle States accredited Catholic elementary school serving students in grades PreK-8.
Saint Dominic has been designated as a “parish school” by the Blue Ribbon Commission. We are a 21st Century school always looking for ways to enhance the educational journey of our students!
Saint Dominic is one of 15 diocesan schools working with the University of Pennsylvania’s “Distributed Leadership Program.”
SDS’s Pre-K Programs incorporates the Childrens’ Literacy Initiative (CLI) into our curriculum for our youngest students, the three and four year olds. This early intervention will assist them in becoming great readers!
Saint Dominic offers TWO Learning Support Programs, grade specific, for qualifying students in grades 2-3-4 and grades 5-6-7-8. We provide extra learning support services through Title 1 with a Reading Specialist, and remedial Math with CORA. SDS has an on site speech therapist, licensed educational psychologist, and comprehensive CORA services.
Today, technology is incorporated with the curriculum. Learning is enhanced by the opportunity to use technology with the use of netbooks, iPads, Chromebooks and computer stations in every classroom. Each classroom is equipped with a SMARTBOARD.
We are on the move! Please come and see us and then join us for the 2017-2018 school year!
